Fairy Tale Architecture:
The Snow Queen

Young Projects designed an installment of Kate Bernheimer's Fairy Tale Architecture, an ongoing series exploring the relationship between the realms of fairy tales and architecture. A visual, experimental interpretation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Snow Queen" was explored through burning dolls, curating ice crystallization, and casting magnetic fields and iron filings in resin.  Photographs of these processes are published  in Places Journal.
